The specially formulated recipe dries to a rich, satin finish, allowing acrylic, oil, and mixed-media colors to reveal their full brilliance. The 473 ml format provides sufficient material for large-scale work and recurring projects without the need for frequent replenishment.

✨ Product Features

✔️ Capacity: 473 ml with effective coverage per coat

✔️ Surface effect: satin finish, optimized for maximum color depth and contrast

🎨 Creative Design Possibilities

The black primer serves as a professional foundation for dark acrylic techniques, atmospheric shadow modeling, and transparent overpainting. Since the lighter painting material works visually against the dark film, shadow depths and light accents do not need to be painstakingly built up, but instead stand out more clearly on their own. This is particularly suitable for expressive paintings, atmospheric landscapes, and experimental texture work.

✔️ Use as a foundation for multi-layered glazing techniques and mixed-media combinations

🔥 Application

Thanks to its smooth, spreadable consistency, the gesso applies effortlessly with a standard brush or palette knife and glides evenly over rougher textures. The relatively fast drying time significantly reduces waiting periods between steps, offering a clear productivity advantage, especially for series production, large-format projects, or time-sensitive design phases.

👉 Important: Always apply the primer to a clean, grease-free, and stable surface and allow the layer to dry completely before further painting to ensure maximum adhesion and even color application.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0798/9146/4459/files/golden-schwarzer-gesso-473-mlgolden-malzusatze-1533077.jpg?v=1761292280
