The 4 cm deep side edges can be painted directly, creating a subtle three-dimensional transition from the image to the surrounding space without the need for an additional frame. The 300 g/m² fabric absorbs pigments quickly, remains dimensionally stable after drying, and, thanks to the sturdy stretcher frame construction, provides long-term protection against sagging or fabric distortion.

✨ Product Features

✔️ Format: 20 × 20 cm with sturdy stretcher frame construction

✔️ Canvas fabric: 100% cotton, 300 g/m², edge depth 4 cm

🎨 Creative Design Possibilities

The compact surface is ideal for studies, portrait exercises, or detailed still lifes in your own studio. Since the frame edges can be painted to continue the artwork, it creates a seamless piece without a distracting wood or plastic border. Several such canvases can be mounted directly next to each other on the wall, allowing for the creation of uniform gallery walls or offset compositions.

✔️ Solo system for detailed work or modular system for wall installations

🔥 Workmanship

The pre-formed wooden frame prevents the primer from swelling or yielding during repeated wet phases. For ambitious artists working on a series in parallel, the uniform tension ensures that all individual pictures sit perfectly flush against one another. Any protective varnish should only be applied after the first matte layer has fully cured to avoid cracks in the surface structure.

👉 Important: The canvas is delivered pre-stretched from the factory and should be stored at a slightly elevated room temperature after initial use to minimize tension fluctuations caused by humidity.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0798/9146/4459/files/Talens-Bespannter-Keilrahmen-Baumwolle-3D-20-x-20-cm-Talens-8510655.jpg?v=1761143840
