The five-liter bundled volume eliminates the need for constant refilling during series work or large-format designs, while the pasty mass regulates optimal absorbency through targeted fillers. This fixes pigments long-term, prevents unmodified colors from soaking in too quickly, and ensures that subsequent coats remain structurally stable.

✨ Product features

✔️ Capacity: 5000 ml (5 liters) in a resealable plastic bucket

✔️ Chemistry: Water-soluble acrylic gesso with a neutral, white color and matte finish

🎨 Creative design options

The prepared layer acts as a physical separation layer that protects raw materials from the direct effect of chemicals while simultaneously providing a homogeneous base. This creates clear contrasts for opaque acrylic techniques, allows fine pen drawings to be executed with control, and offers mixed-media applications a reliable foundation without unwanted bleeding of the painting media.

✔️ Ideal for large canvases, studio work, school internships, and recurring practice surfaces

🔥 Application

Thanks to the voluminous container, rollers (#160 to #200) can be used continuously without interruptions for stirring individual cans. The primer can be spread evenly or applied with broad brushes, with thin multiple layers drying through faster and later fine sanding producing minimal dust layers. This creates a scratch-resistant level within a short working time, allowing for direct detailed work without the risk of spills.

👉 Important: Seal the bucket tightly after each use to prevent moisture ingress and to keep the plastic consistency constant over longer periods.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0798/9146/4459/files/Talens-Gesso-Primer-1001-Eimer-5000-ml-Talens-8750878.jpg?v=1761168981
