The Fabriano Black Black sheet replaces the tedious darkening of classic papers with a homogeneously colored, ultra-black surface. Special lightfast pigments ensure a rich black from edge to edge, so no light spots shine through and the colors applied to it achieve maximum brilliance. With a basis weight of 680 g/m², the sheet offers the necessary rigidity for heavy wet media, while the generous 50×70 cm format leaves enough space for large-format compositions. The deep black tone acts as a pre-colored background, directly enhancing bright and chromatic colors. You can work directly with soft materials such as soft lead, pastel chalks, or fineliners without having to apply a primer. Applying thin glazes, blending powders, or combining with collages also proceeds in a controllable manner on the absorbent, non-fibrous surface and results in a high-contrast visual finish.

🔥 Processing

The thick paper structure absorbs even larger amounts of brush, water, or spray paint without the sheet buckling or the fibers roughening. For extensive projects, the surface remains flat, which makes precise cutting, cropping, or subsequent framing in passe-partouts easier. The stable basis weight also supports repeated reworking, scraping, or glazing without the material giving way or the surface being damaged.

👉 Important: Store the unprinted sheets horizontally in their original packaging or under flat weights to ensure that warping can be excluded until first use.

Shipping Costs

For orders under CHF 50.–, we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 5.20.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery costs:

For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.

For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.

In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

For orders under 20.00 Swiss francs, we charge a small-order fee of 10.00 Swiss francs, which already includes shipping costs.

  • Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs. 

  • This ensures that we can continue to offer a diverse range of products in high quality without having to artificially increase product prices.

  • At the same time, we would like to avoid tiny orders where the shipping and processing costs would be higher than the value of the goods themselves.
How long will it take to receive my order?

The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.

Where do our products come from?

For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.

We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
