The Amsterdam Heavy Gel medium is a highly concentrated additive for acrylic paints that instantly thickens your paint application and builds significant volume. Instead of diluting pigments, it binds them into a stable mass, ensuring your brush or palette knife marks are preserved precisely after drying. This allows you to instantly add a three-dimensional surface to canvases and primers without reducing opacity or color brilliance. The water-soluble formula can be seamlessly combined with Amsterdam paints to achieve consistent results in any technical application.

For extensive studies or large-format works, the generous amount provides a reliable supply, allowing you to focus entirely on composition and color harmony. Before use, a quick shake of the closed bottle is sufficient to evenly distribute any potential sediment. Portion the gel directly onto the palette or into a paint, stir it in, and work while the open working time lasts – whether smoothed, textured, or modeled with sharp edges.
👉 Important: Close the bottle securely after each use, as the medium will otherwise thicken unnecessarily due to contact with air. Dried residues should be disposed of in solid waste and must never be poured into the sewer system.

Orders are generally processed and prepared for shipping within one business day. As soon as your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email. If available, this will also include tracking information.
Estimated Delivery Time
Most orders are delivered within 2–3 business days. Please note that deviations may occur depending on the shipping provider, delivery region, or high order volumes.
Shipping Costs
For orders under CHF 50.–, we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 5.20.
For order values under CHF 20.–, an additional small-order surcharge of CHF 10.– applies.
For order values of CHF 50.– and above, we deliver your order free of shipping costs within Switzerland.

What are the delivery costs?
Delivery costs:
For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.
For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.
In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs.

At the same time, we would like to avoid tiny orders where the shipping and processing costs would be higher than the value of the goods themselves.
How long will it take to receive my order?
The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.
Kidis Art always strives to process and deliver your goods as quickly as possible so that you receive your order without a long wait.
Where do our products come from?
For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.
We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
