Traditional natural pigments for precise drawing and sketching

Rembrandt Carré pastels uphold a centuries-old artistic tradition by using only natural base materials such as chalk, kaolin, and colored earths. Unlike the very soft Rembrandt pastels, this variant features a more compact composition. This gives it a firmer texture, allows for more precise contouring, and remains clearer when layering, making it perfect for drawing and sketching. The contents include 6 selected Carré colors.

Thanks to their more stable consistency, the Carré pastels allow for clear tool control without unwanted smudging. They can be used specifically for fine strokes, sharp edges, and precise gray values, while multiple layers can be applied cleanly on top of one another. The natural pigmentation also offers a wide range of traditional tones that can be combined harmoniously.

🔥 Handling

The reduced softness is a great advantage for longer drawing sessions and working over larger areas. The firm shape breaks less easily and creates significantly less dust than classic soft variants, which keeps the workspace clean. If necessary, the surface can be slightly roughened with fine sandpaper to release pigment-rich powder for creating larger image compositions.

👉 Important: Because the Carré form is more compact than conventional pastels, a slightly more targeted pressure must be applied on suitable drawing paper to achieve the desired opacity.

Shipping Costs

For orders under CHF 50.–, we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 5.20.

For order values under CHF 20.–, an additional small-order surcharge of CHF 10.– applies.

For order values of CHF 50.– and above, we deliver your order free of shipping costs within Switzerland.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery costs:

For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.

For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.

In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

  • We want shipping costs to remain transparent and fair for our customers.

  • 4.90 Swiss francs covers only a portion of the actual shipping and packaging costs – we cover the rest for you.

Why is there a small-order surcharge?

For orders under 20.00 Swiss francs, we charge a small-order fee of 10.00 Swiss francs, which already includes shipping costs.

  • Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs. 

  • This ensures that we can continue to offer a diverse range of products in high quality without having to artificially increase product prices.

  • At the same time, we would like to avoid tiny orders where the shipping and processing costs would be higher than the value of the goods themselves.
How long will it take to receive my order?

The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.

Kidis Art always strives to process and deliver your goods as quickly as possible so that you receive your order without a long wait.
Where do our products come from?

For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.

We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
