Yellow Ochre bears the code 227.5, where the decimal .5 explicitly indicates a controlled lightening with white. This gradation allows for more precise light-dark construction on the page without the need for tedious pre-mixing. With the highest lightfastness and vivid color release, this pastel is perfect for demanding works. Completely free of heavy metal pigments, it is handcrafted in the Netherlands.

The Rembrandt range is divided into pure full tones, tones mixed with black, and a wide palette of intermediate colors thinned with white. This Yellow Ochre belongs to the fourth category (.5) and is particularly suitable for layered applications, atmospheric backgrounds, and delicate skin tones in portrait painting. The material can be used both dry and lightly oiled, supporting complex textures and transparent glazes alike.

Thanks to the extra-soft core, even large formats can be covered quickly and evenly without creating coarse abrasive dust. Both full and half sticks are available, allowing you to cut them to individual sizes or fit them into your own holders. The consistent texture prevents crumbling and ensures that multi-layered techniques can be applied cleanly without dissolving older layers.
👉 Important: The color numbering immediately reveals the mixing state: Pure tone = base number, black content = .2 or .3, white content = .5 to .12. In accordance with the 218-color model, you can specifically order harmonizing shades.

Shipping Costs
For orders under CHF 50.–, we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 5.20.
For order values under CHF 20.–, an additional small-order surcharge of CHF 10.– applies.
For order values of CHF 50.– and above, we deliver your order free of shipping costs within Switzerland.

What are the delivery costs?
Delivery costs:
For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.
For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.
In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs.

How long will it take to receive my order?
The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.
Kidis Art always strives to process and deliver your goods as quickly as possible so that you receive your order without a long wait.
Where do our products come from?
For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.
We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
