Rich soft pastel in a natural earth tone shade

This single openstock soft pastel combines decades of manufacturing tradition with precise pigment chemistry. The Raw Sienna medium (code 234) is based on the purest kaolin and offers an extremely soft, yet stable buttery texture. This results in outstanding color release on textured drawing paper while simultaneously minimizing dust formation. Manufactured in the Netherlands, every batch is subject to strict quality inspections. The material guarantees the highest lightfastness and intentionally avoids metal elements such as lead, cadmium, or cobalt, making it a safe choice for intensive drawing studies.

🎨 Creative Design Possibilities

The open packaging format ("openstock") prevents rapid drying and allows for controlled wear as a full or half stick. The particularly soft consistency can be blended directly with fingers, paper stumps, or special brushes, allowing for smooth color transitions in portrait skin areas as well as differentiated textures for landscape elements. Thanks to the continuous coding, the color numbers themselves indicate the exact level of lightening, ensuring that selected gradations work together harmoniously from the start.

🔥 Handling

The optimized formula ensures uniform opacity, which does not require constant re-application even when working on larger project areas. The pastel barely breaks, even with forceful pressure on rough supports, which accelerates work processes and keeps the focus on visual development. For efficient painting workflows, it is best to use the intermediate tones mixed with black and white that are systematically available in the range, which eliminate unnecessary manual graying and provide direct light-dark contrasts without detours.

👉 Important: As the product is shipped as an open individual stick, it should be placed back into a sealable container immediately after use to protect the sensitive surface from mechanical breakage and contamination.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery costs:

For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.

For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.

In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

  • Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs. 

  • This ensures that we can continue to offer a diverse range of products in high quality without having to artificially increase product prices.

  • At the same time, we would like to avoid tiny orders where the shipping and processing costs would be higher than the value of the goods themselves.
How long will it take to receive my order?

The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.

For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.

We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
