Tension-free surface with no manual stretching required

The Talens painting board in 50 × 70 cm format provides a permanently dimensionally stable base, specifically developed for more intensive painting techniques. The firm bonding of a 280 g/m² cotton fabric to a machine-smoothed MDF board prevents any denting or warping when applying heavy layers of paint. With a weave density of 16 × 16 threads per square centimeter, it creates a uniform painting surface that accurately renders both meticulous contours and soft color transitions.

🎨 Creative design possibilities

The flat board shape eliminates the hassle of re-stretching as the paint dries and allows for a seamless transition between wet-on-wet techniques and impasto accents. Artists use this pre-mounted fabric specifically for glazing passages, expressive layering, or detailed underpaintings, as the lightly textured cotton holds pigments securely without being unnecessarily "absorbent."

🔥 Processing

Thanks to the rigid MDF backing, there is no need for individually stretching and securing raw canvas. Painters can start immediately with the appropriate primer, significantly reducing studio time and facilitating the planning of large series or gallery exhibitions. The high mechanical durability of the board protects finished works from tension cracks, even when stored for long periods without a frame.

👉 Important: The surface is primarily designed for oil and acrylic painting; a targeted primer applied according to technical specifications optimizes color fastness and drying time.

Orders are generally processed and prepared for shipping within one business day. As soon as your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email. If available, this will also include tracking information.

Estimated Delivery Time

Most orders are delivered within 2–3 business days. Please note that deviations may occur depending on the shipping provider, delivery region, or high order volumes.

Shipping Costs

For orders under CHF 50.–, we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 5.20.

For order values under CHF 20.–, an additional small-order surcharge of CHF 10.– applies.

For order values of CHF 50.– and above, we deliver your order free of shipping costs within Switzerland.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery costs:

For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.

For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.

In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

  • We want shipping costs to remain transparent and fair for our customers.

  • 4.90 Swiss francs covers only a portion of the actual shipping and packaging costs – we cover the rest for you.

Why is there a small-order surcharge?

For orders under 20.00 Swiss francs, we charge a small-order fee of 10.00 Swiss francs, which already includes shipping costs.

  • Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs. 

  • This ensures that we can continue to offer a diverse range of products in high quality without having to artificially increase product prices.

  • At the same time, we would like to avoid tiny orders where the shipping and processing costs would be higher than the value of the goods themselves.
How long will it take to receive my order?

The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.

Kidis Art always strives to process and deliver your goods as quickly as possible so that you receive your order without a long wait.
Where do our products come from?

For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.

We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
