Amsterdam Gesso White in the convenient 120-milliliter pack prepares your work surface cleanly by creating a uniformly absorbent base that holds the binder without fully soaking it up. Once dry, the application provides a stable bond for both water-based acrylic and oil-based paints, serving as a neutral, bright foundation for precise painting and drawing techniques. The water-thinnable formula allows for individual adjustments to your project, while the uncomplicated cleaning of all brushes and palettes directly under running water noticeably accelerates your workflow.

🎨 Creative design options
By precisely dosing the water, you can adapt the consistency exactly to your technique. Applying the gesso in several thin layers creates a velvet-smooth surface, while a thicker application can be used to intentionally create relief and three-dimensional texture. The unmixed white acts as a clean background that allows pigments to stand out with high contrast, or it can be used as a base to create lighter pastel shades by mixing it directly into your Amsterdam acrylic paint.

For more extensive work, you can strategically take advantage of the thinned formulation, as large areas can be easily painted or rolled with a controllable consistency. This eliminates frequent rework and significantly speeds up the transition to the first layer of color.
👉 Important: Apply the primer only to surfaces that are completely free of dust and grease. Clean your tools immediately with water before the film fully polymerizes.

Orders are generally processed and prepared for shipping within one business day. As soon as your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email. If available, this will also include tracking information.

Most orders are delivered within 2–3 business days. Please note that deviations may occur depending on the shipping provider, delivery region, or high order volumes.
Shipping Costs
For orders under CHF 50.–, we charge a flat shipping fee of CHF 5.20.
For order values under CHF 20.–, an additional small-order surcharge of CHF 10.– applies.
For order values of CHF 50.– and above, we deliver your order free of shipping costs within Switzerland.

What are the delivery costs?
Delivery costs:
For packages with a value of up to 50.00 Swiss francs, a delivery fee of 4.90 Swiss francs applies.
For orders over 50.00 Swiss francs, delivery is free of charge for customers.
In June 2025, we adjusted the delivery costs from 7.90 Swiss francs to 4.90 Swiss francs.

Every order incurs fixed costs (packaging, processing, payment systems). In order to cover these fairly while still offering our products at low prices, a small-order fee is necessary for orders under 20.00 Swiss francs.

How long will it take to receive my order?
The processing time for your order is generally 2–5 business days, including shipping time. During peak season (e.g., before holidays or during special promotions), it may occasionally take 1–2 days longer.
Kidis Art always strives to process and deliver your goods as quickly as possible so that you receive your order without a long wait.
Where do our products come from?
For paints and art supplies, our products come exclusively from Holland, where the highest quality standards and precision in manufacturing are a matter of course.
We source our craft materials primarily from Germany and France, and occasionally from China when special materials or designs are produced there that enrich our range.
